I have an RT-AC68U set up as the PPTP Server. I have an RT-N66U set up as a client. The 66 is tethered to an ATT hot spot.. The application is for a remote video camera and no wired ISP can touch this location. The limitation of the hotspot is the issue. ATT blocks all inbound port requests to the hotspot so DYNDNS to remote into the RT-N66U is blocked. I have both routers running the most current version of Merlin. The though was to set up the 66 such that it establishes and maintains an outbound VPN connection to the RT-AC68. The setup works to the extent that the two will register and the log files show no connection errors. Both ends show the connection is up. The issue I have is I cannot reach the devices associated with the opposite router I am 802.11 connected to. I have broadcast support in both directions. Any suggestions? The main objective is to have the RT-66 set up as a client constantly maintaining an outbound connection into my home network so that I can see the cameras and other devices remotely since the hotspot otherwise blocks inbound traffic. Much appreciated.
