Hello,

I would like to use WAN port on a par with other 4 LAN ports in access point (AP) mode on my RT-AC87U with 380.68_4 Merlin firmware. Do I need to move WAN port (port 0 on BCM5301x switch) from vlan2 to vlan1 manually by robocfg utility in AP mode?

Thank you.

 You don't need to mess about with robocfg, just put the router into AP mode.

You need to plug your uplink cable in one of the routers ports. The official instructions say that should be the WAN port although others have reported success using any port. Again, according to the official documentation the LAN ports are unused in AP mode but in reality people report that they still function as normal LAN ports.
