I have the latest Merlin firmware on my N66U. I'm finding the web interface very slow to load, and timings on Chrome Dev tools show many of the static files to be 'stalled'. Here you can see a screenshot of the timings for loading the 'Administration -> Operation Mode' page.

There's some info on what 'stalled' means here:

Has anyone seen this issue on the N66U?

I just tested on mine: latest chrome + 378.55 + RT-AC56U

Loading the main page (Network Map)...DOM content loaded in 374ms. Fully loaded in 726ms.

Explanation of these two events: https://developer.chrome.com/devtools/docs/timeline#domcontentloaded-and-load-event-markers

Sorry, not meant to make amusement out of your issue. Perhaps a reference point for you or consider going back to an earlier good release on N66U..

p.s. I swear I won't want to go back HTTPS days with WebUI - it's day and night difference from my experience.

I run john's fork on my RT-N66U and have no issues.

I was on 378.55 before upgrading, and it was just as slow. The reason I posted an explanation of 'stalled' was because I've literally never seen it more than a few milliseconds, and certainly never a significant percentage of the total. Familiar with DOM content loaded, TTFB and such though.

Sadly I'll just have to go back to HTTP. Incidentally, I found it doesn't seem to like a colon character in my password with SSH either, which is fine via the web interface...

Have seen this with earlier firmware also. New firmware flash & factory reset fixed it.
