Hi!

First of all - running N66U and have tried different FWs from old lastest SDK5 to .46.

So to the problem in hand. Last couple of weeks I'm having problem with what I would call local dropouts, basically I have Internet but not able to connect to the router via IP (192.168.1.1), or connect to AirPlay, or accessing usb-disks connected to the router.

This usually solves itself after a couple of disconnects/connects to the router from the device that is experiencing this atm.

When this happens (many times a day) I always have Internet on the affected device.

One device can experience this, while the others still work and have local connectivity.

Crying out for help! This is very annoying :(

Okey. Found out that when this happens, the computer changes IP address to 213.****** from the local 192.****

Still good Internet Connection but no local access...

Is this normal? Can this be caused by the router?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

That means you have a second DHCP server on your LAN handing out public addresses. You will have to figure out which device it is.

Thanks for the insight! As a matter of fact, my sneaky disgusting ISP (their modem/router which I had disabled NAT etc.) pushed an update to it like a week ago. Seems to have changed some settings to it that messed with my setup.

Thanks guys!

This probably comes from their industry training classes - "Customers Need Our Help To Screw Things Up Even More, 401". This is a management level class; thinking-workers wouldn't do this, knowing they'd be required to solve these problems.
