When I format JFFS partition at next boot no longer get an internet connection.

I did a fresh install of Firmware 384.14 and I get as far as formatting and enabling the JFFS partition then after the AC86U reboots I have an no internet connection.

I am able to still log into the router, even wirelessly but no website work. This is happening on all my devices in the house.

Ive tried 3 times now to reset and try again, and tested the internet connection each time as I made a small change and I boiled down to formatting and enabling the JFFS Partion.

I'm at my wits end and the family wants the internet back on. Does anyone have any clue why this is happening?

I had a similar problem, and I solved it this way:
Factory reset the beast
Wait until the bar is 100% completed
At 100%, power cycle the router (and close the browser)
Wait 3 min
Open my browser (firefox) and reconfigure from the start
Router is top shape now

Hey thanks for your tip.

I did figure it out, I was formatting JFFS after I connected to my VPN. I read as I was about to format the JFFS again a warning message that I never paid attention to ever. The warning message says something like formatting JFFS can delete VPN settings, etc.

So I reset everything again and formatted JFFS first then activated the VPN. Now everything works.
