Why can't I associate my router with my iOS account in the app?

Hi!

When I sign in to the app with my iOS account, I can't binding the router in the app. What is the reason for this?

You really do not have to Log In to the app. It will work just fine as is.

Looking at the Asus router app on my iPhone, iOS 18.1, it says not logged in. Touching Log In shows social media icons and discusses managing the router if the router was bound to a social account. If the router was bound to Google and you try to connect to Apple it may be a problem. One fix may be to factory reset the router and try again.

But, you do not have to log into a social account to manage the router with the app.

I have the same issue, I tried to factory reset already, but it's still the same.

The web and mobile versions of the software are different - parental controls are very tough on the web only as the backoffice sucks quite a bit.

There's been more than a few changes with iOS with the current range - e.g. iOS 18.x

If there are issues with the iPhone app - try deleting it from the phone, including the saved data, and then go to the app store and download/setup again...

I tried the factory firmware version, but that didn't work either. I don't know what the problem is.
Contact Asus or their support forums if you haven't done so already since it would appear to be an Asus app problem and not a Asus-Merlin or stock Asus firmware problem. PS: This is after trying the troubleshooting suggestion by @sfx2000.

If it really is a firmware problem and not an app problem then it likely would have to be fixed by Asus in either case.

Just for S&G's I set up binding to my Apple account using iPhone 14, iOS 18.1 and was successful.
