Hi all,

**Edit Again...problem solved.**

My other Router was turned on broadcasting duplicated SSID's, so they conflicted.

Don't be an idiot like me and make the same mistake, I guess is the lesson here.

**Edit**

So what I've found is that if I change my SSID to literally anything else, my devices can connect.

They just don't like my current, original, SSID.

I really don't want to re-connect my 30+ wireless clients manually. Is there a way to "clear out" whatever curse is affecting my current SSID names?

Thanks!
--Original issue outlined below--

*******

RT-AC68U AsusWRT-Merlin

Today I updated from 384.10_2 to 384.13
I guess it was a "dirty flash" since I applied the Firmware Update without factory resetting anything.

My Wired connections work fine, but no Wireless Clients can connect.
I can 'Connect' to the Wireless Network Names, but they say "No Internet".

I'm not 100% convinced the firmware update caused the issue though, because I was having intermittent WiFi issues earlier today as well.

Is my first step to Factory Reset the router? I'm trying to avoid this since I have so many VPN rules already set up and configured, etc.

Thanks in advance!

What is the format of your current SSID? Is it just alpha-numeric with no special characters, punctuation or smile faces?

You may want to have a look at the M&M Config and the Nuclear Reset links in my signature below.

If you really want to re-use your current SSID, you can try to 'forget', reboot and then re-associate a device that has issues and see if that fixes things. If it does work, you would need to do that to each device. Far easier to just use a new SSID (as I recommend). :)

Yikes, that all seems like more work than it's worth just to re-configure my devices to a new SSID :)

To answer your question though, my SSID are just Alphanumeric, no special characters, etc.

I'll just start doing each one, but good to know that all those other options are available via your links, so thank you!

Just to close the loop here....I'm an idiot.

I solved the issue.

The problem was that my other RT-AC68U router was plugged in broadcasting the same SSID's so they conflicted. I had it plugged in to update the firmware, and haven't used it in so long, I didn't know I configured it at some point to use the duplicate SSIDs.

Whew!!

The Nuclear Reset would have caught this issue too! :)
