WiFi congestion - maybe nothing to be done?

No one around is still using Linksys WRT54G either.

Surprisingly, you might find them still in use - most of them these days are legacy, deployed in vertical solutions - not running stock firmware, but either DDWRT, Tomato, or OpenWRT where they're still actively supported.
 
My uncle still has two with DD-WRT in his house...,I think contractors set them up long back alongside the whole home entertainment system, along side some Wifi N Cisco APs.. But yeah, not very common these days.

I see no G networks around. I still have one Linksys WRT54GL, but have no intention using it. Just can't throw it away. Classic piece.

I have 4x in use. Doing a great job for what they need to do. Never failed for years.
