I can't connect with N on channels above 100 when I noticed the list of available channels doesn't align with the ones shown by Merlin. I don't understand this. Is it a Merlin upgrade issue?

Merlin 5Ghz channels:
...149, 153, 157, 161, 165

From what you posted it appears to be a limitation of your client's card/driver rather than anything to do with the router.

EDIT: Sorry, I thought you were trying to connect to channels above 140 but re-reading you said above 100. :oops:

Can you connect to channels 52 to 64?

I can't. I can connect on other lower channels 36-48 without issue. The router only lists channels up to 48 though. These channels are also missing:
Channel 52 : 5.26 GHz
Channel 56 : 5.28 GHz
Channel 60 : 5.3 GHz
Channel 64 : 5.32 GHz
 
Those are DFS channels, they are not available in all regions.
