New Around Here
Hi Guys,

I haven't found a solution on this forum so far, so I post this question.

I have a ac68U router and I'd like to copy data to my nas via wifi. But it is very very slow.

My investigation result:

- Cable from the wall connected to my pc, shows 1 Gigabit.
- Cable to my wifi and a cat5e cable from wifi to my pc, shows 1 Gigabit.
- with wifi, properties shows me only 173Mbit.

My settings:
2.4:
N only
20Mhz
Contol channel: auto (honestly I do not know how can I check and select a custom channel from my own.

5:
N/AC mixed
80Mhz.
Control channel: auto

As far as I know, it should be 1 Gigabit. Don't get me wrong, I know I cannot except 1gigabit using wifi, but copying files from my mac to my nas around 2.5mbyte/ sec is very very slow.

Firmware Version:384.5

Any help, instruction todos would be really appreciated!

I had slower transfers than expected from my Mac (High Sierra) to my NAS (Synology). I made this change to my Mac (the client) and it was 2-2.5 times faster. https://dpron.com/os-x-10-11-5-slow-smb/

Via Wi-Fi transfers WILL be slower depending on your frequency and distance. Eliminating the signing issue in the link above will help.
