WiFi planning problem in AiMesh

Vortese

New Around Here
I just bought an Asus RT-BE88U router, and I previously had an RT-AC88U. I set up an AiMesh system with these two routers, with the RT-BE as the primary router and the connection between the two being Ethernet.

Since the latest firmware update (3006.102.3) of my main router (RT-BE88U), and with my RT-AC88U already on its latest version (3004.386.14_2), even after performing a factory reset of my entire AiMesh system, the WiFi scheduling no longer works. Specifically, the WiFi scheduling only works on the main router, while the WiFi on the node in my system (RT-AC88U) remains active at all times.

Do you think this is a bug that will be fixed in future updates? Or is it due to the end of maintenance for the RT-AC88U, meaning it will no longer work with a more recent model?

Hello again, everyone,
I’m not sure how to edit my previous message, or if it’s even possible.
Maybe I didn’t post it in the right place. If there’s an administrator or moderator who can move it to the appropriate forum, thank you in advance.

In fact, I now believe that this bug is not specific to the new Merlin firmware but is actually related to the ASUS firmware itself.
Additionally, I wanted to clarify that there was no bug, this was working with the previous firmware version of the RT-BE88U (3006.102.2_2).

Flash the Asus firmware and try again.

General thought around these parts is to flash the latest Asus stock firmware to the AiMesh nodes.

Hi, I finally try to flash the node with the stock firmware, reset it and reconnect to the AiMesh, but it's the same bug : the WiFi stop on the Main router but not on the AiMesh node...

This was reported not working before, not a new issue and for specific firmware version.

I am not sure what you mean but for me with the previous version of firmware of my main router : it worked when the planing of the Wifi was in the Wifi section -> professional sub-section...

I mean it's an intermittent issue reported before for different routers and firmware versions. Nothing you can fix on your end. AiMesh is Asuswrt feature and eventual fix has to come from Asus upstream. If you want to report it to Asus you have to reproduce the issue on stock Asuswrt and use Feedback Form.
