Just a quick note - don't install the Asus utliities - they're meant for Win7/8, not for 10..
Win10 does include a Plug and Play (e.g. Grab and Grope) driver for this adapter and installs cleanly...
Driver version - Realtek Semi, 1027.4.1120.2014, dated 2/17/2015 - this is a signed driver, BTW...
Couple of things to note:
1) the default band preference is none, which means it'll go to 2.4GHz first and camp in on a Single SSID - fix here is to go into Advanced Config and change preferred band to 5GHz
2) TurboQAM in 2.4GHz is off be default - can be enabled again in advanced config.
Posting this here so that it might be useful for other - know there's been some discussion about the PCE-56ac card, so check advanced settings there, it might be similar to what the USB-56ac has - seems that the defaults are very conservative.
