New Around Here
I'm in the look for a new wireless modem/router. My last one (tp-link), packed up as it increased temperature to extreme levels and a stong odour was coming out of it...smile

Is there any wireless modem/router that has internet stats for download and upload traffic, pretty much like the dd-wrt firmware has or like the fritzbox? (but not as expensive..:))

thanks

My Netgear WNDR3700V2 has this feature.

It doesn't have a desktop client to alert you, however it can be set to blink a light on the router and/or cut off your bandwidth when you reach a certain threshold during the month.

Some ISPs offer a bandwidth meter app for free.

Give NETGEAR Genie a try. It doesn't support the Network Bandwidth meter on my WNDR3700V1. But it may support the v2.

sorry, maybe i didn't clarify.

I'm not that interested on the total bandwidth measured for allowance, but rather than the current upload and download speed, like the graph in the screenie.

in other words to measure the total download and upload speed off the internet that the router is pulling

also, i'm looking for a wireless adsl router, combining both modem and router, as on lan router you can easily get bandwidth monitor with dd-wrt

thanks for your help,

would you know if they have dd-wrt on their adsl routers as well?

lots of routers have the bandwidth monitor, either via dd-wrt or other tools, but rarely i have come across on a combined adsl router.
