Hi,

Today I was mirroring my Macbook Pro to my Apple TV, using Wireless 5G...

The fastest I got is 4MB/sec ... is that normal?

How fast is you speed they might be a issues with your service

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920AZ using Tapatalk

its just mirroring between the 2 devices...with such router I would expect no lags or hiccups or anything, upon monitoring the speed, it just reach 4.5MB/sec

which is totally unacceptable....

can anyone with similar setup to test and share the results...

or recommend a specific setting to change?

How are you reading the connect speed on an iPad? I will try it. I know how on Windows but not MAC.

4MB/sec is about 32Mb/sec, not bad if you are any distance from a 5G Wi-Fi router.

To be more specific, the speed will fall off with distance but even more if there are any walls in between.

Are both the Macbook and the Apple TV on 5G wireless? If so that accounts for halving the speed. How are you measuring the speed?

If both are only a meter from the router try Colin's excellent idea.
