Something i noticed today
If i set my 2.4ghz to channel 13 extension channel below in the firmware it says its at 40 Mhz
but in reality it sits using 20 Mhz of spectrum
To fix it i have to set it to channel 9 with extension channel above
which results in channel 9 + 13
It seems to affect the upper end of the spectrum on 2.4ghz
Both my AC88U and my AC66U do this
On Both Stock Firmware and Merlin
It seems to me that channel 12+13 arnt setup properly
and in some cases the firmware will make a choice that it would make on a 1-11 device
instead of a 1-13 device
my AC88U also does exactly the same
so its a longstanding issue in the 2.4ghz band for eu users
i suspect its present on all eu asus broadcom based routers
9 Above works as expected
