I'm having a similar issue with my RT-AC88U. All of the connected devices are showing up as "wired" interfaces. They previously showed up properly (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz wireless) with the stock software.

I can actually "ping" my RT-AC88U log-in IP address from the guest wi-fi from a laptop that despite being connected wirelessly shows up as "wired" on my router network map. I'm sorry as I'm relatively new to IT and still learning, but should I be able to do this router IP address inquiry from my guest network? Good news is that I still don't appear to be able to remote log-in to the router from the guest wi-fi. My concern is a more sophisticated remote log-in to the router to change settings if my guest networks are inadvertently compromised since I have the router set up to only allow wired access changes to the router, but the wi-fi connections show up as wired connections on the router....

New to forum and figured how to use the search tool better. It looks like the issue above has been previously reported. Thanks RMerlin for helping us all stay secure.

Yep, known issue that NetworkMap shows wireless clients as wired. Closed source so Merlin can’t fix it unfortunately.

As for able to ping router that’s normal, and firewall rules are correctly blocking from accessing the web UI. Everything sounds swell on your end.
