WUMgr & KB5053602 Update/Install fail

I am using WUMgr to hold my updates to Win 11 23H2, until 24H2 is stable. I am having trouble successfully downloading KB5053602 so I downloaded it directly from the Microsoft Catalog. Before applying the update I checked the SHA256 checksum but the hash does not match what the catalog says it should be, so I am not applying.

Is anyone else experiencing this strange anomaly with 23H2 updates? Suggestions welcome!

I simply use this group policy to stay on Windows 23H2, no 3rd party application needed.
Update KB5053602 was installed fine this way.

Well, as the article says, "This policy will not work for the Windows 11 Home edition.". I didn't mention that before but that's what this Dell AIO came with. I could edit the registry manually, but tweaks like that are risky if not done accurately.

Another issue is that I downloaded the KB directly from the Microsoft Update Catalog. I downloaded fine but the chksum fails.

then it did not download "fine" or the checksum at MS is wrong (generated diff) or similar on your machine.
