XT8 purchase advice

I am looking to upgrade wireless at home and deciding on XT8 but wanted someone to confirm some details if possible.

As I will be running them in AP mode, will I be able to create a Guest SSID?

Is it possible to assign a tagged VLAN for guest access?

From what I understand, a guest WLAN on a traditional wired AP is not isolated from the router clients. And VLANs are not supported.

But wait for someone else to chime in here.

Yes, you can create 4 guest ssids for each band, and isolated from the rest of your LAN and each others. I think you don't need vlan for that purpose:

in terms of running scripts i guess i need to install Merlins version which is not available as yet for this?

i think that is when i run in router mode not AP, hence why i asked.

Amazon in UK hasn't had stock for months.

May or May not be related to wifi 6e or covid.
