Hi guys,
I get my XT8 (router+node) since November 2021 and noticed this behavior with both 45934 & 46061 firmware. After 10 to 12 hours my WAN download speed decrease from steady 400Mbps to 330-340Mbps. The upload seems not affected. I see no specific message in the log. It happens both on the router & node, wired or not.
#Setup specifics:
- wired backhaul
- DNS DoT configured (but tested w/o)
- AI protection enabled (but tested w/o)
#What I tested already
- changing cable between the XT8 and the modem (see why below)
- WPS reset procedure
I can get my speed back by removing the cable between the XT8 and the modem or by restarting the XT8 router. Restarting the modem has no effect.
I tried to avoid enabling AI protection (and DoT) but the result was the same. I may have miss some tests of course. On my network I've a torrent seedbox (RPI4) that may have an effect maybe, no idea how but it worth mention it. Beside this lowered speed all is working fine. I worked with the modem only too (in modem/router mode) and such has never happened in more than a year.
Any idea I can explore? I see often the firmware 490xx mentioned as a stable reference for many issue but so far I read never for anything related to the WAN speed.
