Hello

Ever since i have installed Skynet on my router i get to see loading of youtube videos on android using revanced app with problems.
Everytime when i open any video (shorts included) it tends to show the loading circle and it will start video at randon times, sometime it is fairly quick but other times it will take minutes, sometimes it will even never load at all.
There is no problem if i use standard youtube app. Also watching on my laptop or ipad youtube app there is no problem. What could be the problem?

Thanks

Did you install a swap file? I believe Skynet recommends a 2GB swap file. I would also look at what type/speed, etc of the usb you are using. Many people including me use an ssd.

yes of course i did, its on normal usb stick. But if this would be the case then i would have expected the same behavior using the standard app not as i have stated the issue is only in the revanced youtube app. everything else works fine.

Sounds to me like this revanced app is being blocked from dodgy servers, the whole reason behind installing skynet in the first place.
Flame away if you want.

yes but then it means i would have to then reroute all the traffic through router in order to make it work when not on wifi..

isn't network admin fun?
I would agree with @Ripshod - the revanced app is going through blocked IPs. I haven't had any issues with invidious...

I would like to follow up. So now as i dont have youtube premium i can see tons of Ads all over the place....both on web or in standard youtube app. Apart from that i cannot post in the comments in the standard youtube app on android(also on revanced). But works in ipad or laptop. So i wonder what gives? Why are no ads being blocked? I have installed skynet, unbound and diversion. Is there anything i need to change? Use different block lists? I have the standard one...thanks

Also....If you're seeing ads thru ReVanced make sure you're using the latest recommend YT apk version: 19.16.39.
