This is simply something I was curious about. I noticed that my wired clients were still able to communicate after running the "halt" command via SSH on my RT-N66U.

Any information or guidance to pertinant documentation to help understand this would be appreciated. :)

Because a switch is a "dumb" device, it's not something actively run by the firmware.
