Asus has introduced Guest Network Pro, which I have not used. I have a SWITCH with vlan capabilities. Is it better for a home network to use the router or the switch to setup vlans?

I prefer the switch. Unless you are using a layer 3 switch then you will need your router for layer 3 work. All my VLANs are assigned networks. I use a layer 3 switch so I need no router for layer 3 work.

Thank You for the insight, as I try to offload as much as possible from the router. With increasing speeds, vpns, etc I would like the router to be working with less effort. The AXE16000 has ram/cpu capabilities, but "we" put a great deal of work towards these AIO router solutions.
