    Need assistance with expanding wireless network...

    You're better off installing wireless access points and using your router as the gateway for all your devices. This will make it easier for you to control/monitor the network. Take a look at the Jack Pack by Panoptic. You can mount it into a wall jack. Keeps people from messing with it.

    You could maybe do a WDS solution, although running cables is always the best. You could just set up two APs on the second floor, one as a repeater, the other as a regular AP. Then put an AP on the 1st that connects up to the repeater. This will allow the speeds at the bottom floor to be the...
