    [VERY IMPORTANT] Asus routers are compromised.

    I have tested my rt-n66u using shields up and have the 5 ports closed but can't get them to stealth out. They are 135, 137, 138, 139 and 445. Software is 374.36 beta1-sdk5. If someone knows how to get these ports to stealth I would appreciate your words of wisdom. Thanks. Bob.

    Fixed Hi Merlin, That fixed it. I had a short solid USB extension only just over an inch long but I fitted it between the router and the traveler and the temperature is now only slightly warm. So you were right it was heat from the router not due to high current in the traveler. Thanks...

    I'm afraid I don't have any means to measure the temperature but it is very warm just a bit short of too hot to touch. The pictures in the info you pointed me at look exactly like the one I have. Wish I knew if others were getting this. Bob.

    Wpa2 enterprise or personal

    I have a bit of a mystery. Inssider reports that my rt-n66u is using wpa2-enterprise and yet the config inside the router is set to wpa2-personal. Anyone else getting this? Using 374.36_beta1-sdk5. Cheers Bob.

    How to restart Cherokee web server

    After several days of trying I have managed to get Cherokee running on my RT-N66U and it seems to work fine until you either re-boot the router or worse still, dismount the USB device. I would expect Cherokee to restart for either of the above automatically or at least require an easy one off...

    Solution found We'll trying different data sticks etc. I accidentally caught the reset button and had to enter all my settings by hand once again. But, having done that the router would mount data sticks without a problem. Still don't know what was wrong though. Bob.
