    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

Thanks, I see. I would have tried that by pinging from the RAX200, like google or something but I don't have that possibility. Fair enough only the router RAX200's DNS would be changed then (makes sense). Since I have device A (Zyxel Fiber) and device B (RAX200), does it makes sense to...

    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

Hi there, So I have made this topic a while ago trying to configure my LAN: old topic about my LAN configuration. Things changed and.... I have a fiber router now (Zyxel, which this guide: Zyxel guide). The problem is I can not change the DNS on that Zyxel router, it does not work. I have...

    Netgear RAX200 network setup guidance

There's no fiber where I live, no choice here. The ISP is not allowing me to bridge their device (and I can't do it myself technically). I do use the dhcp from the isp router, maybe thats why I can't connect properly to the RAX... I mean it works but I can't update the device directly.

    Netgear RAX200 network setup guidance

I had to change things a bit. Long story made short, the ISP does not let me use any other device (well they don't provide any login information and/or any help). I ended up having to use that junk device. So it's currently like this: Device A (ISP modem) port 1 to Device C (RAX200) port 1...

    Netgear RAX200 network setup guidance

Yes, the problem is I don't want the crappy device A, to be the router. I just had a call with the ISP, who told me bad information (I did found it suspicious last time), about the WAN port. They claimed that to bypass the "router" and only use A as a modem, I had to connect WAN to WAN (A to C)...

Want to setup 2nd router behind main router

If I remember correctly, once the router is in "AP" mode, the interface/gui is available from another ip and not the usual "192.168.x.y". So let's say the default gui for a router is 192.168.1.1, once in AP; that changes to let's say 192.168.1.250 (or something else). Of course it depends on...

    Netgear RAX200 network setup guidance

Thanks, I will have to review that. The router RAX200 arrived yesterday, I am too tired to deal with it at the moment. I wanted on purpose to avoid using anything from device A (modem), and to use DHCP and the rest only from the Router C (RAX200). I don't want the modem to do anything in fact...

    Netgear RAX200

Well, thanks for the explanation, I still think it's somehow misleading or border line cheating from Netgear... The router is not limited to the wifi performances and capacities! In my view the CPU is also rather important and it's a less powerful one on the RAX200 than RAX120 (and even...

    Netgear RAX200

I mean RAX200 vs RAX120. I saw it's less powerful chipset on the RAX200, and since it's broadcom vs qualcom, it has different limitations. Also, it does not have 5G ports like the RAX120 but only 2.5G. Someone said here...

    Netgear RAX200 network setup guidance

The forum bugged yesterday, was not able to reply. No, currently it's a very weird setup, actually I even wondered what I did for long, and if I look at it, I would still do wonder... I think I have two subnets, and weird setup. On the device A, the ISP box crap, I even have set the DNS server...

    Netgear RAX200 network setup guidance

Hi, So apparently I'm going to receive that RAX200 by post today, the shop will deliver the order after all, despite weird stock information (after I ordered, the item in the shop shows available in April, 5 months later). I see the specs and the ports here...

    RT-AC65P

Yes, when I checked myself, I saw quickly this page: https://www.asus.com/Networking-IoT-Servers/Whole-Home-Mesh-WiFi-System/All-series Which is supposed to show any compatible router. Having said that, I was surprised that it's not compatible because it looked a decent router. At the time I...

    RT-AC65P

Well the buyer checked quickly in Google and it seems available. In the end, I also tried and it's just poor google results, falsely showing it has that. In the feature page it's indicated only the compatible routers and that one is not there. He will sell it again he told me.

    RT-AC65P

It's strange, as per the specs, it looks very decent, especially with MU-MIMO. asus specs I would say it's medium end router, not the highest range which are around 400USD. Actually it was a gift, and since I had bought a RAX200 a few days before, I already sold it. The buyer is interested by...

Did you try that FW? How does it feels VS the original R7000 FW? I have the same device for years.

    Netgear RAX200

It looks deceiving from Netgear to call if RAX200 then... RAX40, 80, 120, 200... makes it looks like higher range, while in fact it's apparently not. Having said that it seems they are offering more features on the rom side (which should not justify that naming)... And which is not something I'm...
