Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta is now available

Yes - I have uiDivStats installed ... and a "slow" usb drive - but no swap yet. Hmm - but thanks for the tip - I will try disable uiDivStats and look if it's going back to normal...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta is now available

Installed 386.1 Beta on my AX86U. Everything seems fine so far - I'm very happy - only one thing is odd - the CPU Statistics are crazy - spiking around the whole time in "idle" - BUT with HTOP there are no services or things with high CPU usage - so it seems to me it's just a visual bug ?!

Is the RT-AX86U Mature & Free of Systemic Bugs?

I had nothing than troubles with my AX-88U (worst 2,4ghz ever - you can read the threads) - since I have the AX-86U everything is fine - it just works (even with the ASUS Firmware) 55 days up! ... I don't know when I had this the last time... No one or very few are writing about the AX-86U - I...

    No traffic stats, etc

ASUS RT-AX86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.382.52272 - Fix AiProtection issue. - Fix 2.5GE stability issue. - Fix static WAN type issue handling. - Minor GUI fixes. I think thats sounds like the whole "dpi engine doesn't exist" bug - I can update in a few hours - but looks promising - fingers crossed

    No traffic stats, etc

I'm just wondering how the reviewers like dong are "reviewing" - if they would have really reviewed the device they must have been stumbled over it...

    No traffic stats, etc

Did somebody test it with the delivered firmware - was it working with an older version? I'm asking because the first thing i did was update to the latest version - so I even don't know if it was working with the shipped firmware.

    Wi-Fi Signal Strength RT-AC86U v RT-AX88U

Yes - they are really side by side on a top shelf almost 2m over the floor (old building) the SSIDs are all different - like in the picture I posted before. LILAdex_4 - AC68U 2,4GHz on channel 6 (20mhz) LILAdex_5 - AC68U 5GHz on channel 100 (20/40/80mhz) LILAdex_6 - AX88U 5GHz on channel 48...

    Wi-Fi Signal Strength RT-AC86U v RT-AX88U

It seems not the walls are the problem - maybe its simply the distance over air. I don't know how big is your appartment. I tested the following routers (last year until 2 months ago) and access points (always same spot) to replace my AC-68U * AC-86U * AC-88U * Ubiquity AC-LR AP (LongRange!)...

    Wi-Fi Signal Strength RT-AC86U v RT-AX88U

Copying from my NAS to my Notebook with 80MB/s IS a huge upgrade to my AC Router ... i wouldn't want to wait another 5 years for that :-)

    Wi-Fi Signal Strength RT-AC86U v RT-AX88U

my network IS fastser for my new AX200 devices... and I have tested also a AC86U a few months ago (because many sites are claiming the range is on of the best) but also the 86U was WEAKER in coverage than my good old 68U... maybe most of the people live in smaller appartements where it doesn't...

    Wi-Fi Signal Strength RT-AC86U v RT-AX88U

I'm beyond testing between different firmwares, channels, spots and antenna directions - like I said - I have my "workaround". Like @Ninko said - it's not the numbers - but - just for example - on my back porch I CAN surf and stream with the 2,4ghz from my AC68U, the 2,4ghz band from the AX88U...

    Wi-Fi Signal Strength RT-AC86U v RT-AX88U

Go through the whole thread ... I bought the AX88U and at the time 384.14 was out. As in this thread said - it seems there was a significant drop from 384.13 to 384.14 in signal power - and only transmitting on one of the 4 antennas on the 2,4ghz... but it wasn't taken serious because the test...

    Wi-Fi Signal Strength RT-AC86U v RT-AX88U

As i wrote a few weeks ago already - we are talking here about significant differences in signal strength ... but I gave up to complain - because certain persons don't wanna hear about it obviously. Always getting the same answers about it's not possible to compare because bla bla bla... I was...

Please disable NAT Acceleration for more precise scheduling control.

I have Time Scheduling on my AX88U activated - it works without any problem - and accurate - WITHOUT disabling NAT Acceleration
