    Ya I have that option, maybe i'll mess with it.....I heard it makes the game look less detailed, but would have to try it first to see if thats true.... I have all ports opened and have tried DMZ....doesn't seem to matter.... I'll keep messing with it.... Thanks for you time...

    It's ext3 format.... with about 1.5 TB of movies. thanks for you advice....kinda thought i might have to hook it up to cpu but i have windows 7 on it and not sure if paragons program will work but looked into it and said it has read/write support for ext3.... just don't want the dig my hole...

    RT-N56U No internet while xbox is online

    Maybe try and assign the xbox (along with everything else you have , that connect to the router, if you want) a static ip address...... Then put the xbox ip address in DMZ (this should put your xbox outside your routers firewall etc) Hopefully that will help.... Strange problem, but just trying...

    By chance, does anyone know... If you update from wrt (stock) to padavans firmware, should you uninstall media server first , then update, or does padavans firmware ignore the media server files and creates it's own? I'm rubberbanding alot on the 360 while playing BF4 and it's hella annoying...

    I'm runninng it and haven't ran into problems (not much time to test everything obviously) but the speed and range seem good.... I can finally get good throughput with torrenting and not laggen while gaming.... I'd say it's worth trying out.

    I'm not running padavans due to ps3 streaming issues.... But you should be able to "ALLOW" the mac id's you want to access your router. Anything NOT on your allow list should be blocked... Hope that helps....that's how I run mine...

    I had issues with media server getting screwed up and tried a couple different things but couldn't get it to work....... I could see the router on pc but it wasn't showing up the dlna media server... So I had to rename asusware to asusware_old and .dms to old.dms..... Unplugged drive and plugged...

    Ya that seems like a hassle....why can't these damn things work like they are supposed to....haha... Guess all we can do is keep our fingers crossed that someday they will come out with a firmware that actually works for everyone....ie all the firmware option do what they are supposed to....lol

    @Guz Looking at the webui of files on the drive, it appears wrt is using miniDLNA v1.1.0... Wondering if padavans firmware is using a different mini and or if it was replaced with v1.1.0, if it would make it work. nevermind.....should have looked it up first....looks like thats the latest...

    Yes they play fine streaming from usb with 1.0.1.8e-p2 version of padavans (old gui), stock firmware and wrt versions....they all play fine on all pcs, laptops, 360 , and ps3. Most of my files are 2 gbs roughly, have a couple 4 gbs but they all play fine, except for padavans later firmware after...

    n66 xbox wifi mode and qos

    It's SUPPOSE to prioritize packets, so that you can have better performance on a particular device... But most QOS only affect the upload and not the down. I have tried it but it seems like the overhead from it prioritizing doesn't pan out. If you want to see what I mean..... do a speedtest...

    Well I went ahead and flashed .79 from wrt, to test if the usb drive would stream to the ps3.... (wrt ran my usb drive fine) but when I tried .79, it would show the drive , but when I put the cursor over the drive icon it would always say it was unmounted.... usb/dlna was turned on etc...
