[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I did not upgrade the CFE before upgrading to 18E1. Can I upgrade the CFE and then reflash 18E1 or do I need to downgrade to the previous version before upgrading? This is for an AC68U.

    OpenVPN no bytes in

You need to change the protocol from UDP to TLS on the VPN Details page and then regenerate your credentials. Android doesn't work with UDP.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.44 Beta 1 is out

I really like the new features of this version but I have reverted back to 374_2 because of the lower signal strength with 376.44. The lower 5 GHz channels which I am using in particular.

Comcast IPv6 working fine here with 43_0.

AC66U Media Bridge mode speed issue

Edit: After letting things settle in, I am now getting full speed on the new access point, so my issue probably was hardware related. Question: Your units are hard wired together correct?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.42_2 is out

I am on Comcast in the Denver area and IPv6 is working fine with .42. This is by far the best build yet for my purposes.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.42_2 is out

Thank you for this. I just ran these commands on one of my ac68u's and did in fact gain a little range in both 2.4 an 5 GHz channels, verified by inssider.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.42_2 is out

I noticed a small typo in the instructions here: nvram ser regulation_domain=#a should be: nvram set regulation_domain=#a I also found similar instructions elsewhere in the forum which are: Edit: Deleted these erroneous commands to avoid confusion and prevent anyone using them by mistake...

    ASUS RT-AC68U vs. Synology

The web interface or the drives? Externally no. Internally yes for both. Internally you would just use the IP to access the web interface and you would map or create shortcuts to the drive. Externally you have to use port forwarding.

    ASUS RT-AC68U vs. Synology

Change 80 to 5000 in the port range section of your second entry and Login using this: http://synology.mydomain.com:5000 You can delete the entry labeled DiscStation as the one port forward will work internally and externally. Port 80 is for your web interface and no port forward is necessary.

    5Ghz Channel Bandwidth

Your images show 5 GHz using 40 MHz width channels. You just can not manually select the side channel which is normal. Edit: Okay I see from your inssider shot that the AC66U is still at 20 MHz width. Have you hit apply and restarted the AC66U?

Is it normal for AC68U to get 50Mbs for a local wireless connection?

It is possible to get higher speeds on the 2.4 GHz channels than you are getting but it depends on how crowded the 2.4 GHz spectrum is where you are. Here is what I get with the 2.4 GHz connection from the same place as the earlier test which is about two rooms away.

I Reduced My CPU Temps By Over 20 Degrees

I have two AC68U's on my network running Merlin's Asuswrt. One is setup as a main router and the other is setup as an access point which is wired in. The main router was running at 83 -84 degrees and the access point was running at about 78 degrees. Neither is overclocked. I bought two...

    Strange log entries AC68U...Help?

Plex was causing a lot of these log entries for me. I actually completely removed Plex and although I am not getting near as many of these log entries, they do still occur.

    5Ghz Channel Width

I have specified all channels on both units specified. The router is set for 2.4 GHz channel 1 and 5 GHz channel 36. The unit set up as an access point is set for 2.4 GHz channel 6 and 5 GHz channel 48 Edit: Inssider also shows the max connection rate on the 5 GHz channels as 54 Mbs, and...

    5Ghz Channel Width

I recently replaced my router and access point with a couple of ac68u's. I have my 5Ghz channel widths set to 40 MHz and N + AC as it is more stable with our cell phones. This is the same settings used with my other equipment. Issider shows the channels as only 20 MHz wide. I have tried...
