    Does any one know the maximum speeds that can be achieved with openvpn on Asus AC-5300? I am hitting at max 88 mbps. I am on Merlin 380.65.9 Also CPU 1 is almost at max when I do the speed test on my laptop. Is that normal. Much appreciate.

    Which part of his firmware violates FCC? In that case, dosen't dd-wrt violate the same rules? the increase in the TX values is the only thing that may come close to the violation. Without those increase, it's immensely difficult to use the router in countries where the walls are made of concrete.

    I believe vlans can be configured regardless of merlin's firmware. Just go to the tab and check if you can add it?

    I believe he may have been asked to remain low. Specially if there is an effort to remove his links here. The modification of TX values may be frowned up, don't know. The last one was 380.65.9 by him. I don't think another one was released.

    I just added my brother in law to the AC5300 thanks for Merlin and Hugo. As usual the setup works flawlessly. Anyone heard from hugo. Hope he is doing ok.

    Absolutely true. Even if there was an update I would probably stay away from it as the current setup is absolutely stable.
