[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61 is now available

I have the same behaviour on my AC66U running 380.58 and the iOS App, so whatever the problem, it is not related to the recent network map changes or to 380.61

    AC5300 - With 3.0.0.4.380_3000+ - Merlin Builds Working yet?

Maybe the solution is to have multiple parallel versions; each not necessarily supporting all devices. If I look at the recent builds, 380.60 supported some models but left out some. 380.61 supports some of the left out models but not others. You may end up with something like: - 380.60...

Mac users | Tell me about your wireless backups with asusWRT-Merlin (Time Machine, CCC, etc)

I've been using both Time Machine and CCC for the past 5-6 years as follows: - iMac connected to Time Capsule - Time Capsule connected to router - QNAP NAS connected to router - HDD docking connected to Mac - All using wired connections, no WiFi Time Machine alternates backups between Time...

    RT-AC3100 vs RT-AC88u vs RT-AC3200

If you're to go with the effort of rewiring the house, you should invest in Cat7 cabling. If you can't afford Cat7 connectors, you can start with Cat6e and upgrade them later. It is easier to change a connector than to completely upgrade the cabling. Not sure where you're located but here's...

What DNS do you use with your Asus/Merlin

I've been using OpenDNS for about a year, mainly for its anti-malware feature and to block specific domains. Performance is good, so I'm sticking with it. Sent using Tapatalk

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58 is now available

Updated my AC-66U from 378.55 to 380.58 this afternoon and everything is fine. My router is used only as a router (no IPv6, WiFi, VPN, DDNS, Samba, FTP, Firewall filters, Media services, etc.). Only a USB key formated in Ext3 for Logs and John's NVRAM backup tool. - Remove USB drive - Flashed...

    [Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58 Beta 1 is available

That should be 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2, not 192.168.2.1 which is also in a different /24 subnet than 192.168.1.1

[Test builds] 380.58 alpha builds are now available

Yes and it has been committed by RMerlin on Github, so it will be in the next compiled version

    Quick Question about RT-AC3100

It should not cause any problems. I disabled both 2.4 and 5 GHz radios on my AC66U and it's been working great (as a router) for nearly 2 years. My router is at the far end of the house and I can't pick up its WiFi, so I'm using a Time Capsule and have great WiFi coverage. Sent using Tapatalk

AC-66 rebooting itself every 6-8 days

No problem here. Been running 378.55 on my AC66U since it came out and it never rebooted itself. Very stable Sent using Tapatalk

RT AC66 Version 3.0.0.4.378.9459 is also availible

Nice to see new 378 version. Any plans to have 380 versions for these (older) routers so all (old and new) routers are on the same branch? It would be less confusing and easier for RMerlin to manage :-) Sent using Tapatalk

[Preview] 380.57 alpha test builds for all models

I also own a Mac and the easiest way I found was to download the NVRAM restore utility to my Mac and then FTP it to the EXT-formatted thumb drive connected to my router.

AC87 new issue since updating to 3.0.0.4.378_9177

Do you absolutely need this disk to be NTFS? If not, reformat it to ext3 or ext4 and you'll have native Linux support from your router and your NAS Sent using Tapatalk

    Need advice. AC-66U and AC87U.

I have an AC66U and it's rock solid. I only use it as a router (no wifi, no entware, no scripts). My WAN connection is 100 Mbps symetrical and the LAN ports are occupied by 3 switches and a NAS. One of the switch is a Time capsule which also takes care of Wifi. I have a range of set-top boxes...
