Need a new Asus router- need a suggestion

If your AC68u is working fine and you only use it as an AP - why upgrade? Do you require 802.11ax?

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14 (and 384.13_2) are now available

Yet you've just acknowledged it has nothing to do with Merlin's firmware. Perhaps you should investigate your environment for signal interference. This may be more productive.

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Yeah, at the moment. But it would become an issue. As far as USB drives go, small capacity ones are very cheap. If you're concerned about it wearing out, I wouldn't be. I've not heard or read one report of Skynet script destroying flash drives. I've been using the scripts in my sig for over a...

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

I'd say 7 out of 10 being one is a safe estimate.

    Welcome to the internet.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14 Beta is now available

This is concerning. If it is broken, what's the likely-hood of it being fixed? A lot of people on slower networks depend upon this.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Ha! I was wondering if someone would make that connection.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

I think it's safe to say at this point this script will no longer be getting updated, at least not by FreshJR. Hopefully one of the other scripters takes an interest in picking up the project.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

I'm sure somebody would have mentioned it if they had.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Thank you for your dignified response @thelonelycoder. The fact that you speak such good English here on the forums can sometimes make it easy to forget that you're not 100% fluent in the language.I apologise if I came across harshly. As I said I'm a supporter of your work. I'm also a...

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

There are certainly a lot of clever people on here. It would be nice to know QoS is something that one of them would be passionate enough about pursuing if FreshJR does not return. I feel QoS is a crucial part of a network. Additionally I hope that FreshJR's well-being is okay.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

I sent him a donation and a message of support a few months back, which I never heard back from. My take is he has washed his hands clean of this.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

To be fair, you came across as a bit of a **** with FreshJR regarding this IIRC. Speaking as someone who has donated money to you on two occasions, that was unfortunate to see. And now you've had a change of heart with zero changes made to his script, hmm. It's good for Merlin users, but It...

Routing VPN traffic only for a particular port

Thank you for the link, octopus. I have read through the information and hopefully I have understood it correctly. Does the below look correct for routing all traffic on source port and destination port 32400 through the WAN? #!/bin/sh sleep 10 # During the boot process nat-start may run...

Routing VPN traffic only for a particular port

On my PC I have Plex running which works fine expect for remote access from outside of the LAN. So....again, whats the benefit of this? You're introducing potential errors for sake of a few degrees.
