    Running on a 86u which has quite a fast CPU. DM works but I notice both CPUs peaking constantly, even with one small torrent. Oddly, under "Tools - System Information" "CPU Load Average" shows only 5% average CPU use. I've tried lowering Global Maximum connection but not any difference...

    No Spanning Tree is default but a factory reset seemed to fix the problem, two days knock on wood.

    Ditto AC86u shuta down during scheduled reboot after 384.12. Was previously working, reboot every day at 5AM. I have to manually power cycle the router.

    AC86U with 384.10_2 here, Wireless (2.4ghz radio) scheduled to turn off from midnight to 7AM. The radio never turns off. It worked as expected in previous versions.

    I did but maybe not long enough so I will turn them off overnight. I suspect it is DNS related. I set "Accept DNS Configuration" to relaxed and ran namebench. I'm seeing a ton of timeouts, including: "How odd! Only 8.7 percent of name servers were pingable." After reset and a ISP modem...

    I finally picked up a AC86U ($112 Newegg refurb go get em). Installed Merlin 384.7.2, did a factory reset and setup OPENVPN. Everything checks OK and I am getting ~100MBps VPN on benchmarks with 20ms ping. Problem is noticeably lag opening web pages... sometimes 5+ seconds before they start...

    Download master is broken

    Working here on AC68P Merlin 384.7 but just one torrent maxes both CPUs to 100% about 50% of the time according to Merlin system status graph. I guess combining OpenVPN with the torrenting in router is a heavy load. Thinking about AC86u does that tame Download Master?

    Asus AC1900 router vs RT68U?

    Between a AC1900 and AC1900P, the CPU is just a different revision. I wonder if AC1900 safely OCs to 1.4ghz without any hastle. I had one at 1.2ghz and it barely got warm so my guess is yes.

    What sort of VPN speed are you seeing with the 87u at 1.4ghz? My 68p at 1.2ghz would get 60mbps VPN while running cool. My 87u runs hot at stock so I am reluctant.

    I run VPN and TOR off Merlin and am wondering two things. 1. Does the TOR tunnel connect through the VPN or are they discreet? 2. Is it possible to add a VPN after TOR? This is very useful for sites the captcha TOR to death.

    Connecting to VPN server using IKEv2 (iOS Always-on VPN)

    Does this mean IKEv2 will work as a L2TP client in stock Merlin? I though Strongswan had to be installed through entware, which is daunting. It would be an very useful feature to integrate, IKEv2 is often 2x faster than OpenVPN on same hardware.
