DIY home surveillance with IP camera?

Can you elaborate on your setup? Are you using POE? What kind of camera and software are you using? I am interesting in setting up a small system myself as well. Thanks in advance!

    RC-AC68U - Media Bridge mode - Bonjour/ZeroConf/Multicast filtering?

My problems are returned as well. I was initially excited but the neither the stock Asus or Merlin's firmware appear to fix my DLNA issues when the media bridge is involved.

    RC-AC68U - Media Bridge mode - Bonjour/ZeroConf/Multicast filtering?

Hey Alkie, Have you tried Merlin's firmware on your router? I really like the Asus firmware in every other respect so far but on a whim flashed my RT-AC66U with Merlin's latest build and my stereo receiver connected to the media bridge has been able to see DLNA information from the server...

    RC-AC68U - Media Bridge mode - Bonjour/ZeroConf/Multicast filtering?

I just upgraded to the new firmware tonight on the AC66U. My AC-1900 is connected via Ethernet to the modem and the AC66U is acting as the media bridge. My Yamaha receiver is connected to the media bridge via Ethernet and I was able to see my Windows 7 PC which is connected to the main router...

I thought I was having a problem with my Yamaha receiver, but the DLNA server is recognized when connected directly to the main router...

    Upgrade of Synology DS209

Cat 5E can support gigabit connections. If your switch is not gigabit then that may be a more cost effective upgrade in the interim to see if that improves things. Are you using a managed or unmanaged switch?

DLNA Issues on 5Ghz Band using Media Bridge?

Good evening! I am using a T-Mobile Cell Spot (AC-1900) hardwired to my Brighthouse Cable Modem. My Windows 7 Pro computer is hardwired to this router and I use this PC as my server. I am also using an Asus RT-AC66U setup as a media bridge which connects my Yamaha receiver, Wii, Blu-Ray...
