New Around Here
Hello,

I'm new to the NAS stuff. I bought a Drobo FS, (2) 3TB WD Red drives.

I got the drives connected, I've connected the NAS to our home network, but now what?

I want to use the NAS to backup photos, store movies that I can access on either of the 2 smart TV's.

Are there any guides or setup procedures? Appreciate the help.

Tip:

Return the Drobo, keep the drives and get a QNAP or Synology NAS.

Too many horror stories with Drobo. When they work, great. When they don't; I hope you don't rely on one to keep your data protected.

Guys, the problem is a bit deeper than that.

The OP is stating he's not sure how to USE his NAS.

bcurrey:

Are you familiar with mapping drives in Windows? I would strongly recommend reading the documentation that came with the unit. Most of the NAS units I have used provide basic instructions for setting up storage and media streaming.

Can these 2 Smart TV access your NAS shared folders?
