    How important is the new boot loader? I have just upgraded to 378.50 beta 2 and done the full factory reset. However the boot loader failed to load as it is still on 1.0.1.6. Is there a way to upload this easily? Download speed started off quite slow but seems to be getting better. Thanks

    Sorry but still no good. Can't see where i'm going wrong. I have tried to load it as PPoE the same as before. Cleared nvram. Still cannot log on to internet. Has anyone on this forum gone from standard bt internet to fttc infinity? thanks

    sdk5 Well i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong! :( Installed twice and got the update complete message, yet still the fw doesn't show sdk5. Any ideas? Thanks

    5ghz dropout Hi Merlin and guys Have updated my firmware on my RT-N66U to .35 and keep getting drop-outs on 5ghz channel, while 2.4ghz seems ok. As a complete novice (so explain in laymans terms) any ideas why this would be? Thanks

    Do i need to do a reset? downloaded new firmware and everything seems to be working fine. is it just luck or have i made a mistake somewhere? Running InSSider i get 100 on 5Ghz channel and 78 on 2.4Ghz

    Thanks for the help. just dont want to do something silly and brick it. So if i'm reading the notes from merlin correctly, once i've installed the firmware i do the factory reset then? Not before installing?
