    Netgear R8000 Firmware Updates

Thanks for the info although I cannot locate this beta. Do you have a link?

    Clients disconnecting from WRT1900AC

Yes that is correct. Still, I don't think that this related to the units randomly dropping wireless.

    Clients disconnecting from WRT1900AC

It does not seem to work off the WAN port. My experience with other AP's or routers in bridge mode is that you connect from the LAN port. Do you think that in your case it works from the WAN port due to different firmware? My units are configured the same as what you have indicated in your...

    Linksys WRT1900AC - product future

Sure, thanks. I appreciate the help. I guess the takeaway is that Linksys is going to do something vis a vis the WRT1900AC - version2 hardware or new model, or newer firmware. Wish I knew what to do.

    Clients disconnecting from WRT1900AC

Hi, Yes the WRT's are set to bridge mode. They are connected to the LAN via the LAN port (not the Internet Port).

    Clients disconnecting from WRT1900AC

All I would notice was that the browser session would show "connecting" and that the connection speed indicated by the Access Connections Program would show 6.0mbps instead of 450 or 300 mbps. What I do notice is that the connection speed would "hunt" and the signal strength drop (bar graph).

    Clients disconnecting from WRT1900AC

Everyone - thanks for the input. Last night I went ahead and purchased two WRT1900AC's and installed them in Bridge Mode. What I am noticing is that my two laptop wireless clients disconnect randomly even if only 10 feet away from either Linksys. They came with the latest firmware, and are...

    Linksys WRT1900AC - product future

So, if a new version is coming out next month, how will it differ from current version? Yes, I am using it as an access point. If it seems expensive, so do 3x3 access points. Is the WRT1900AC better than say, an Apple Airport Extreme as an access point?

    Linksys WRT1900AC - product future

Would you consider the WRT1900AC a good fit as an access point?

    Linksys WRT1900AC - product future

Thanks so much for the replies. I will be replacing 2 Cisco 1231 a/b/g access points with these (or other units). Was also thinking about Apple Airport Extremes as replacement. Anyway, what are the recommendations regarding whether to have the same SSID for 2.4 and 5ghz radios?

    Linksys WRT1900AC - product future

Hi, Am considering the purchase of two routers to use as access points. The Linksys WRT1900AC seems to be getting good reviews and not much to worry about in the forums. It has been a while since the last firmware update (July), and along with the release of two subsequent AC routers...
