    1st Router Purchase - Need Advice

    I just ordered two EnGenius ESR9850, that I will hopefully have in time to play with this weekend. I can let you know next week how my experience went. One will be used as a bridge for my TV and consoles, and the other will replace my router.

    I did a quick Comcast Speed Test before and after swapping. It was 25 down, and roughly 4 up. After the swap It doesn't want to go any higher than 20 down?

    EnGenius ESR9850

    I just read through all 35 pages and it has definitely peaked my interest. I think I'm going to replace my aging equipment with two of these. One for my Router/AP and a bridge for my entertainment center. Thanks for all the testing and input everybody.

    Any word about them sending you one for testing? !!400Mhz CPU and 32MB RAM!! :p I have the Old X-550 and it the stablest router I ever used with factory firmware. Correction, I think the NBG-460N is the overseas product name. US models will be X-550N / X-500NH - has the crazy antenna tower.

    D-Link DIR-825 suggestion?

    I was mostly interesting in wired routing speeds. Since the 825 seems the be the most cost effective one at the tops of the charts, I will give it a try.
