GT-BE98 Pro and Galaxy 6e Capable Phones

There is no WiFi 7 toggle on the more/most recent firmware. On the Professional tab selecting 6 GHz you should be able to scroll down towards the bottom. They have now four relevant settings: OFDMA 802.11ax MU-MIMO WiFi 7 OFDMA WiFi 7 MU-MIMO 802.11ax/ac Beamforming I have a single 6E MacBook...

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

My primary router is a DECO BE95, (AT&T Gateway in IP Passthrough). 100% my GT-BE98 Pro is in Access Point Mode with AiMesh and can add nodes. You'd have to choose which AP to mesh with, and you'd lose mesh to the other AP.

    Release GT-AXE-16000 Firmware Version: 3.0.0.4.388_24403

All my routers are wired. Unfortunately I have to say that as a node, even with AiMesh Settings Ethernet Backhaul Mode toggled ON, it is not quite stable.

High Latency Issues on WiFi? GT-BE98 Pro

Yes I have noticed something similar but I do not have MLO enabled on my ASUS network. I thought it was noise from UPSes that I set up but I moved a BQ16 Pro very far away from a supposedly pure sine wave version then added a TrippLite ISOBLOK2-0 to the output with no improvement. EDIT- To...

ASUS BE Routers question for my setup.

@JoshShep I also have a RT-AX86U. I think the RT-BE86U is a lot better choice. I do not have it but I do have 3 BE routers. To take advantage of both WiFi 7 and keep compatibility with WiFi 6 and lower two separate SSIDs are created, one SSID_MLO (you name it as you wish of course, I just...

ASUS BE Routers question for my setup.

Also I forgot to mention the older model will likely get more price drop during sales, while the newer model may not get a decrease at all here, making the price difference even larger during our similar "Black Friday" sales.

ASUS BE Routers question for my setup.

I'm sorry I did not catch that these models both only have 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. I have just now went to read through the available information from our US ASUS site. There is a big difference between the two (my opinion,) and for some reason the prices in your country are close. Here the price...

ASUS BE Routers question for my setup.

The higher the frequency the less the range. I believe power is proportional to frequency so limits (just in case to protect human health) are the reason behind this. 6 GHz range < 5 GHz range < 2.4 GHz range is the result. 2.4 and 5 GHz should be similar for both models, but maybe they base...

ASUS BE Routers question for my setup.

The AX86U Pro was on sale at Micro Center for $179.99 for a while which maybe ended a month ago. I was tempted but held myself back. Correct you won't have WiFi 7 benefit unless you also have WiFi 7 devices. For the incremental cost difference, or as you note same price, yes might as well get...

Still struggling with Asus ZenWifi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro Bundle

If your nodes are wired to the main router/BQ16 then Ethernet Backhaul Mode seems to help. AP mode is only available for wired nodes. OP is wireless backhaul, maybe Repeater mode... The OFDMA/MU-MIMO and Beam forming settings look like they need manual configuration now that ASUS removed the...

    RT-BE92U Does Not AIMesh Wired

AiMesh nodes can be added wired from the start. I haven't had much trouble placing routers/RPs in their final places, connecting Ethernet, finding them through Add a Mesh Node function. If ever the router/RP is not detected, I'll bring it close enough to run Ethernet directly between the main...

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

@Plak I'm afraid I missed responding about your fan concern with respect to the BE95. It's in our Den which isn't populated much.. I asked my friend, the one who I split with, and he said it didn't bother him at all. (I believe his home is smaller than mine so it would be more of a concern)...

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

@Vustadumas When ASUS first released firmware with MLO enabled they suggest MLO_SSID for WiFi 7 Clients, and a Legacy/IoT SSID for all the rest. I see that devices try to connect to WiFi 7 channel, but eventually hop off probably because the encryption is higher than they are capable...

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

I saw that sale. I was tempted but restrained myself. I split a two pack with a friend so that is how I got mine at a discount. I downloaded that firmware 1.0.21 but as you can probably see it's back officially to 1.0.20. I can't say it is a great firmware but I've been running it. The...

    iPhone 16 Pro w/ GT-Be98 Pro & BQ16

I have experience with the BE98 Pro and BQ16 Pro. With 10 Gig NIC/backhaul I could get 2.1 Gbps on MLO WiFi using iPerf3. At least with wired backhaul they play together reasonably well.

    Anyone upgraded from a GT-AX11000 to a RT-be96u?

Yes, you can have switches with Access Points, not sure if there's a limit. Only difference I'm aware switch vs Access Point is Ethernet only vs WiFi on top of. Ethernet Backhaul Mode can help open more WiFi bandwidth if you go the AiMesh route.

    Anyone upgraded from a GT-AX11000 to a RT-be96u?

You'll need to hard reset whatever you decide to add back, set up the BE96U, then find and add them as AiMesh nodes. You can use the ports on the routers as "switches", if I understood what you were trying to explain about a switch with each...

    Anyone upgraded from a GT-AX11000 to a RT-be96u?

I would advise you when adding the BE96U to consider replacing the AX3000, vs the AX11000. Mesh just works better with closer matching equipment vs high and low. (My next to replace is a RP-AX58 which is lowest spec in my mesh)...

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

I have a BE95 as router. There was a firmware that finally opened both 6 GHz channels to devices/clients. Prior to this 6 GHz-2 was set as dedicated backhaul. This firmware was eventually pulled from their pages, I believe due to bugginess. Updates seem to have stalled... But with a 240 MHz...
