Is it no WiFi connection or no Internet service?

Try a WiFi Analyzer app to see your WiFi signals. If the 2.4 signal is not present/steady, install the current firmware, reset it to its factory defaults, and configure it from scratch (my install notes may help). If the signal is still wonky/missing, you may have failing hardware... particularly on an 86U built in China 2018.

If the client gets an IP address and works on your LAN but cannot reach the Internet, then your ISP equipment/service may be suspect.

Sounds like hardware failure. The suggested re-commissioning of the router would be my next test. If various clients can't connect to the out-of-box router 2.4 WLAN, then its hardware/2.4 radio is suspect (was working; now not working... something has changed or failed).

what are your settings? i always have that issue when settings are default, only issues then with 2.4, it happens after about a day, then they drop

i always disable these 3 in advanced settings : mu mimi / airtime fairness / Universal beamforming
then mode = auto, 20+40, channel 11 , wpa2 personal

The OP's issue is that his clients connected fine to the 2.4 WLAN and now do not.

yeah, was jusy saying that it also happens with me, simple reboot helps, for a day... untill i configure those settings

Did your 2.4 clients work fine for quite awhile and then suddenly all stop connecting to the router 2.4 WLAN until you changed your router settings?

I have rebooted also.

Have you tried ALL of the advice in my first posts?

My RT-AC86Us worked fine until they fail.

No My wife is online working ATM so can't do I factory reset. Starting to think it's hardware as I connect to 2.4g but disconnects tried on my new laptop I watched it going back and forth.

A WiFi Anlyzer app can help to 'see' all WLAN signals around you.... make sure your 2.4 channel is still a good choice.

Does it say China 2018 on the back of your 2018 86U?

Yes 2018.

Is that your WLAN SSID with a decimal point in it? I've never tried that... blame DOS.

Could try a different channel, like 11. Changing the channel restarts the WiFI.

OE

Yes 2018.

Failing hardware symptoms can sometimes drag you through weeks of fruitless troubleshooting before fully failing.

If the re-commissioning doesn't help, try another router with basic settings... you may then immediately realize the 86U router is failing.
