2.4ghz and 5ghz clients cant communicate with each other

I don't bother re-booting, if at any time I need access to the 2.4GHz printer, I just change the WiFi to the 2.4GHz on my PC, then print, then go back to my 5GHz SSID, I'm so used to doing this now that I always remember to do it.

I've tried everything here with the same result.

I think that it's perhaps a hardware fault on a certain batch of RT-AX86U Pro routers. I can live with it. Uptime at the moment 42 days

There's no point pulling your hair out over something that is not fixable, or will not be fixed by Asus!

Very strange.
Yes it is. Some don't have an issue while others do. When I ran Asus-Merlin (for over a year on a RT-AX86U Pro) didn't have a problem with 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz devices being able to communicate with each other. Had a 2.4 Ghz connected Raspberry Pi Zero W running Pi-Hole and HP OfficeJet printer that were accessible from 5 Ghz clients. Even now on stock Asus 3006.102_x firmware I don't appear to have a problem with communication between wifi clients on either band.

Strangely the BT Superhub 2, which is in no way similar to my GT-AX6000 has the exact same problem with the Soundbar Alexa (Samsung S60B) not connecting to the Amazon Echo Dot if they're not on the same BSSID. Here at least I would strongly suspect if there is a bug that it's in the Soundbar not the router!
