Eventually. I will need to see first if I can reproduce it.
Setting the DNS-over-TLS Profile to Strict to appears to cause issues.

Easy to reproduce at least on AX86S just enable DNS/TLS. Thanks for the reply.
How about getting Merlin some logs from your router when DNS/TLS fails. It would be a big help.

Edit: Any issues with the firmware for GT-AX11000 (not pro). Noticed asus they tend to drag their heels with that router a bit.

Above from post #1 of this thread - not double vision ... but a brain "E" blocker ;).?

Tried flashing 388.6 twice on my AX86U Pro, but the router won't take it and is still on 388.5 after the 3 minute waiting process.
Did new attempts today with the second alpha1 (gb287d474ae), but the same "crashlog". Have also tried different OS/browsers, but the same result.
I read that flashing stock firmware and going back to Merlin can solve things so this is the path I have tried today:

Code:
3004.388.5 -> 3004.388.6 alpha1 (gb287d474ae) = Still on 388.5 after flash.
3004.388.5 -> Stock 3.0.0.4_388_24198 = Success and showing 3.0.0.4_388_24198
Stock 3.0.0.4_388_24198 -> 3004.386.6 alpha 1 (gb287d474ae) = Still on 3.0.0.4_388_24198
Stock 3.0.0.4_388_24198 -> 3004.386.5 = Success and showing 3004.388.5
New try with 3004.388.5 -> 3004.388.6 alpha 1 (gb287d474ae) = Still on 3004.388.5

Guess I'm stuck on 388.5 and my only way forward is the firmware restoration tool.
Strange because I did a clean install (full reset) on 388.4 and 388.5 was a minor component upgrade, so not many versions back.

UPDATE 26 dec:
After I did a WPS-reset/Full reset on 388.5 I could install 388.6 alpha1 (gb287d474ae).
I configured everything from scratch and the last thing I did was to "Enable Access Restictions". When I pressed "Apply", the router died and went into a boot-loop. No recover so I did another WPS-reset and setup everything one more time, but without "Enable Access Restrictions". Now it's been working great for 24 hrs and logs are clean.

Hi, installed the alpha on gt-ax6000. While playing Fortnite I have constant disconnections from the game. I went back to 388.5 and it doesn't happen anymore. What could it depend on? I don't use scripts, just google dns on the router.

May help if you provide more details to help others troubleshoot your issue. For example.
Is the gaming computer/device connected via Ethernet or WiFi?
Have you checked the router log(s) to see if anything is happening around the time of the game disconnections?
Are you using AiMesh and is the computer/device connected to a AiMesh node?

ASUS RT-AX86U. Just tried the newest Alpha Firmware (12-24-23) and the SpeedTest still doesn't work for me. Cleared all temp/cache files and rebooted router. Maybe it's an ASUS problem.

Thanks

It's an alpha, expect and report errors as you have done. Want a stable firmware? Go back to 3004.388.5.

Connected via ethernet. Not using Aimesh. The issue happen only with last alpha. I didn't consult the log, unfortunately.

I just tried the new gb287d474ae build for my GT-AX11000 Pro and my DNS issue is related to using a dnsmasq.postconf that has worked fine for years now. I renamed it so it doesn't use it and now have DNS working. When I get back, I need to verify what that repeated keyword is as I only have a replace and append command in that file

Code:
Dec 24 07:36:57 rc_service: watchdog 2891:notify_rc start_dnsmasq
Dec 24 07:36:57 custom_script: Running /jffs/scripts/service-event (args: start dnsmasq)
Dec 24 07:36:57 custom_config: Appending content of /jffs/configs/dnsmasq.conf.add.
Dec 24 07:36:57 custom_script: Running /jffs/scripts/dnsmasq.postconf (args: /etc/dnsmasq.conf)
Dec 24 07:36:57 dnsmasq[15162]: illegal repeated keyword at line 50 of /etc/dnsmasq.conf
Dec 24 07:36:57 dnsmasq[15162]: FAILED to start up

Confirmed - same for GT-AX6000. Speed Test still broken. Bandwidth Monitor dials also not responding - those usually kick in after a fresh install/reboot.

Same. Speed Test, and DNS-over-TLS in Strict mode not functioning (works when in Opportunistic mode).
