Hi, I have a house network with a variety of devices and cat6a cabling in walls.

The one thing I don't have is an internet connection.

I got the AC87 as it supports 3G dongles, however it doesn't seem to work, and ASUS support sent me to a page that showed no modems at all for Italy where I live.

The reason I post here is that I see some differences when using Merlin latest _47 version of FW.

Before the home page showed HUEWAI USB Modem 3G, the log showed Huewai mass storage device.

Now I actually see some more positive messages in the log regarding the device:

I am wondering how I can get this to work, as this was the main reason for purchasing this router.

Any help gratefully received!

Can no one help with this? Any other ideas for connecting my house lan to a3g dongle?

Hello,

Its an old thread but I am having the same issues. Anyone any ideas where to start troubleshooting?

Thanks
Sam

Hello,

The dongle I am using has an auto connect feature so I have set it to AutoConnect, its connected to the network and I setup the USB WAN settings to manual and WCDMA and everything else blank and adapter set to auto. The WAN IP is still not picked up by the internet status page.
