The August 4 update of update-hosts.add was the last change I made in the area that affects the hosts file or whitelist.
The only change I made at the time was to drop support for older firewall scripts by other forum members.
The 3.9.1 release on August 9 nowhere remotely tangents anything that would trigger your page load problem.
Maybe the hosts file auto-update has now a domain blocked by one of the hosts files used that has recently been added?

Just read about the removal of some domain names from EasyList due to a DMCA takedown notice. Will this affect ab-solution and if so do we have to manually add the removed domains to the black list?

The Streisand effect will haunt them.
Here's a complete list for your blacklist, add it manually to your existing entries and then run el edit blacklist and the IP will be changed to your pixelserv-tls IP. Then process it.

so the only way to add them is to manually type in to 1 ad domain to blocklist? did not see any list to read or to import.

Open the /tmp/<your device>/adblocking/blacklist.txt in an editor and paste the posted list to the end of it.
Save it and then in the AB UI enter el and edit blacklist to convert the IP to the ps IP. Then process the list.

This is more to support the Streisand effect than the actual need to block a single domain, functionalclam.com in this case.
The company behind it, Admiral, owns the domains in the blacklist I posted.
We are all affected by brute force measures such as that silly DMCA takedown request Admiral threatened GitHub and possibly EasyList with.
So yes, unless Singapore is outside of the earthly internet DNS zone, this blacklist can be added to any ad-blocker using hosts file based blocking.
AB-Solution is one of them.

Apparently they own hundreds if not thousands of domain names. Some of them hosted on Amazon and Google cloud servers which can change IP addresses any time depending on the servers that host them.
If Admiral can set a precedence with this DMCA take down, adblocking would become a real PITA.

The IP changes are not a problem for hosts based blockers. Hosts, or domains are resolved by the DNS Servers on which all rely on for the internet to work.
But the DMCA request, if approved, is the worrisome part.
But then, what good is it, are they going to drag me to court if I were to host a hosts file? There are thousands of places that host these files. GitHub is just one of them.

Just move everything outside of the US. The DMCA is an American law.

Has anyone compiled a whitelist of domains that may be useful to people? e.g. popular gaming domains for PS3/4, Xbox etc etc?
Example: when my son says why is my EA sports game suddenly taking 5 minutes to load, then I will need to start search for domains to whitelist - Steam is another one etc etc
I can find blacklists, but a good whitelist would be infinitely useful as well.
