For the PBS app to work, I have to whitelist

Code:
b.scorecardresearch.com
b.scorecardresearch.com.edgesuite.net
pubads.g.doubleclick.net
partnerad.l.doubleclick.net

The second and forth host names are the CNAME for the host above it. It did a test and found that PBS worked without white listing the CNAME. But I added the CNAMEs on my pfSense per a recommendation from the pfBlockerNG author. I like to be consistent on my white and black lists for theses two routers. So I included the CNAMEs. What is your recommendation?

The scripts I will be sending you will allow you to set Accept DNS Configuration to Exclusive and have ABS work over the VPN tunnel. Please use the @ symbol in front of a members name so they get a notification. ;) I am forking the terminal menu and will add menu options to automate some of the selective routing functions to make it more user friendly. I will have more free time starting tomorrow. Eventually, I will post on GitHub and provide a wiki on how to install and setup.

Thanks @Xentrk ! I'm really looking forward to testing the script! I temporarily turned off AB-Solution today and tried setting up a Pi-hole. I was able to do it without any dns leaks but man I'm having to whitelist a HUGE number of websites and ips. I can't wait to go back to AB-Solution!

I installed AB-Solution on my 86. That went fine
Stuck on installing pixelserv.
I follow the instructions to adjust the starting pool to 192.168.1.3. But when I enter it I get:
Enter IPv4 Address: 192.168.1.3
"You entered: 192.168.1.3
Is this correct? [1=Yes 2=No] 1
192.168.1.3 is a valid IP address
checking if 192.168.1.3 is available to use
192.168.1.3 is not one of the reserved addresses"
I don't see that IP in use. I can't get past that step.
What should I do?

Hello since you already do the DNS logging can you also add the feature where it shows the DNS stats like what domains are forwarded to which DNS server and how many are cached enteries etc just like a killall -s USR1 dnsmasq does.

Also if you didn't finalize the AB4 naming scheme yet then I have a suggestion too:

ABSolution Lite
ABSolution Standard
ABSolution Pro

the mistake I made was not changing the starting pool earlier in pixelserv setup. I thought it said to make sure that .2 was not in use.

I fixed it!.
Opened a new tab in Xshell 5 and logged into the router.
Started ab and selected ps. The install went straight to enter the 192.168.1.2 part.
Installed and working :D

I've added it to the list of possible additions to the stats after AB4 is out.

Thanks, I made that decision a while ago. You confirm that its a good naming scheme:

I believe it says to DO THIS NOW or some similar wording.
There's a limit of how much you can cram into the explanatory text on a shell UI without the user skipping over it for pure boredom.
I think you just went and did exactly that ;)

Haha :p
Well, I did so much reading. Read a lot of this thread. I read a most your website before even attempting to install. I wasn't bored. I just misread that one part. The text in Xshell is small on my 65" 4K. I have enlarged the font now.;)

One of many great features of Xshell, the font and size selections. And you can assign cursor colors to sessions.
That is very helpful if you use multiple sessions with various hosts.
My development router is green, the main router red, as seen in screenshots here and on the website.

Can I has AB 4 with WebUI only? (without ssh ui and without pixelserv-tls)

No. The SSH UI is needed for the install and the file itself is also used to execute commands issued by the Web UI.

Hi all I have a question. I VPN from my phone to my home network but I noticed that AB-Solution is not blocking ads on the device. how can I force the VPN Clients to use use AB-Solutions.? Sorry if this has been asked before but I tried searching and couldn't find a solution.

Before you connect to the VPN make a note of your IP address (the remaster network your phone’s on)
eg whatsmyip.org then connect to your vpn server and do it again. I suspect you will see the same IP address rather than the IP address of your home router.

In the Advanced settings for the OenVPN server (you are using OpenVPN?) do you have “Direct clients to redirect internet traffic” set to Yes? If not, try that.

I'm connected to my VPN right now and when I check my IP address from my phone it shows my Home IP. The option under Direct clients to redirect internet traffic is already set to YES.

I got it. I had Respond to DNS set to No. Once I changed that and enabled Advertise DNS to clients the ad blocking is now working on my DNS Client.

Try clear browser cache. Also check that your phone is not set to other dns. Use Auto.
You may also want to check the dns your phone is using when connected to the VPN server. Go ipleak.net to check if it is your home dns.
