Hi
Since I have found the time I have done the factory reset without an import and it works after reconfiguring openvpn and some other settings. Great !
Thanks for you help.
Is it safe to import all other settings now or do I have to re-enter them manually in order to avoid that it breaks again?

Enter them manually. If you restore from your backup you’ll overwrite the “good” sertings with the glitchy ones.

What you could do, if you’re game for experimenting, and I think Colin suggested this, is make a backup of where you are now and label it well and keep it safe, and then restore from your old backup and prove it brings back the problem, and then restore the good backup and carry on manually adding your settings. If you feel lucky, that is. Petsonally, I wouldn’t look for trouble!

Good idea to make a backup now anyway and then continue in steps to manually add your personalised settings.

The overlooked plus side to manually adding your settings is that it helps acquaint you with new pages/settings and also makes you question what some of them do and, if you change any from the default setting, the reason for doing so. It help refresh your memory on where all the different settings are, too.

Good to know you’ve sorted it and that the reset helped.
