Does the AC86U is supported with Merlin? If i Upgrade my 68u with Merlin, does i have to set up my Aimesh again and which version has to run on the notes? Can i use opendns with merlin so i can filter better than with stock Asus wrt?

Nodes can run either any recent Asus firmware, or Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13. Nodes get their config from the master router, so you just have to reset them to factory default, then re-add them to the new primary router.

OpenDNS can be used with any router or firmware, even stock firmware. Just replace the ISP DNS with the OpenDNS IP addresses.

Thank you. In stock rom it is not possible to set a opendns filter for clients. You can enable parental control or filter for a client. I want to use opendns to granular filter for my childrens

Yes, but in stock ROM only for all clients and not for a specific one. I think this is only possible with Merlin

Correct. You didn't specify you wanted it on a per client basis, you need DNSFilter for that.
