Any idea why my androids don't show up on client's status page (although they are recognized and shown by the Wireless Log - see attached screenshot)?

This behavior isn't related to any firmware branch - it can be observed over all versions I have used until now...

Hi,

Actually no idea, as all my three Android devices are always shown without problem...
But can it be the case that the WLAN device is on power save, and therfore you can not see, it in the client list?

With kind regards
Joe

No it can not be the case that... in order to continue good old Gorbach English :D

It doesn't make any difference wether the devices are in power saving mode or not - they are not shown in the client status list either...

Ciao

I cannot reproduce that problem either with any of my two phones or my two tablets. Both my N7 and N4 are currently shown there. Are your devices all using DHCP?

Maybe we could take the problem by another end...

Please go the LAN section, DHCP server tab, bottom part: "Manually Assigned IP around the DHCP list(list limit:32)".

Please add manually your Android device (don't forget to apply the change).
In order to do that, first select your Android device MAC address in the first column, and give it a name in the third. 1-Add and 2-Apply.

Then go back to the LAN section, and look at the Client Status frame to see if your Android device is there. If you have a lot a devices, don't forget that the status report could have more than one page.

All my devices are entered in the DHCP-list with a manually assigned IP ...

I tested the issue with different tablets and smartphones - none of the android tablets (Samsung Note 10.1, 2 Nexus 7) are shown in the client list, but no problem with android smartphones (Samsung Galaxy S3 and S2) or with IOS devices (iPad2, iPhone4 and iPhone 4S) - those are listed without flaw...

Another interesting detail:

At work I'm using an RT-N56U router - the same tablets that are not listed at home with my RT-N66U will be shown in the client list of the RT-N56U (firmware: 3.0.0.4.342)...

I have a Dell Streak 7, 2 Asus TF-201's, a Samsung Tab 2, a Samsung note 10.1 and they all show...

Re-tested last night with a Xoom (4.1.2) and N7 (4.2.1), both showed fine.

Overall, at home, how many devices are connected to the router ?
