APs Without Merlin Support and VLANs

I'm trying to do a bit better segregation of things in my network. I have a unifi gateway and switches that I have vlans configured for wired devices. This is all working fine. I wanted to tackle the wifi side of things. I currently have an RT-AX58U running in Access Point(AP) mode / AiMesh Router in AP mode that I was thinking of flashing with Merlin. The problem I have is that I also have two more APs that are XD4N models as part of the AIMesh (they are connected wired for backhaul), which aren't supported for Merlin. Am I basically out of luck for vlans for this setup or is there a way I can make this happen?
