Asus ROG GT-BE98 Pro New Firmware 3.0.0.6.102_37038

Yesterday afternoon my router was flashing that a new firmware was available but when I told it to update it went through the process and then rebooted right back up to the same version. I looked online and only the December version showed. Now this morning the update available icon is no longer flashing. Do you think they found something and pulled it?

Did you first run the webUI Firmware Version\Check Update to confirm/double-check the availability of a new version? I've seen this action clear a false alert.

Did the webUI indicate the new version available vs. the old version currently installed? Likely not after part A above(?)

I've seen similar false alerts and/or former alerts that are slow to clear. I would not read too much into it. I would always have a firmware file on local disk ready to upload in case the auto upgrade routine goes wrong and dumps you into some firmware recovery mode that knows only to ask for 'file to upload'. I've seen this and you will want to have a local firmware file ready to upload manually.
