ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE19000 - Low/unstable upload speeds

Tyriel

New Around Here
Hello everyone,

I have been scouring the internet for a few hours. But I found out not a lot of information is available regarding the Asus ROG Rapture GT-BE19000, since it is quite a new router. Maybe someone here can give some tips.

I recently 'upgraded' from my ASUS TUF AX6000 to the GT-BE19000, since I have a 4 Gbps down/up connection and my AX6000 was limited due to the 2.5 Gbps ports. I was able to nearly max out my speeds though. It is an amazing router. In-router speed test results were a very consistent: 2400 Mbps down / 1900 Mbps up. When wired to my pc, I would get around 2300/1700 on Speedtest.net. One significant fact to mention was that I would get these speeds nearly instant.

When I replaced my router with the GT-BE19000, the speeds are very unstable. In-router tests would give me 4000 Mbps (my ISP max speed). However, it takes around 7-8 seconds before the speed is reached, where as my AX6000 would instantly be on its max speed. My upload speed caps out at around 700 Mbps. The upload speed is also all over the place. It starts at around 1200, then drops down to 300 and slowly creeps up to 700.

When using Speedtest.net, it somehow starts at around 2000 Mbps and then dumps to 1100 and slowly crawls up to 1300-1400. My upload speeds go up to 900+, which are actually higher speeds than the in-router test. I have used five different servers on both speed tests and the results are all nearly identical. The ping (3ms) and jitter (0-1ms) are unchanged. I also noticed that (especially via WIFI) websites always take a few seconds to load, where as on my AX6000 it was nearly instant. Connecting to the servers via Speedtest also takes around 10 seconds and sometimes completely fails to connect. The speeds tests are below, taken half a minute apart.

I am using the same settings on my GT-BE19000 as I did on my AX6000 and I have upgraded to the latest firmware version: 3.0.0.6.102_37432 (2024/12/17). I have tried three different ethernet cables in all possible setups, from CAT6 to CAT7. I have cleaned the ports. I have pressed the ethernet cables as firm as possible. I restarted all equipment three times. I factory reset the router twice.

I am afraid this is a firmware problem, as there are only two firmware updates since the release of this router. Is anyone familiar with this problem and/or could give me some tips?

Thanks in advance!
Tyriel

Edit: So I tried a packet loss test and I somehow have insane packet loss (wired CAT7 connection). This must be the problem. I have no idea how this is possible. When I did this test on my AX6000. I would have 0.00% loss. Even when using the complete upload and download bandwidth, I would still only lose 0.3%. Below the test results from my BE19000. When running the test, I also notice, the received packet counter would halt for half a second every two seconds

Update: After trying everything imaginable for multiple days, I decided to return the router and order the BE98. Leaving this thread here as a warning to not buy the BE19000, until they have fixed the firmware. If there are others that have not experienced these issues, I guess I had a faulty unit.

Update 2: Temporarily switched back to my AX6000, stable 2200/1350, 0.00016% package loss.
